Huami Amazfit Bip and Amazfit Stratos launched in India: Price and Alternatives

Huami Amazfit Bip and Amazfit Stratos have finally launched in India. Here are some alternatives to choose from.

Huami, Xiaomi's subsidiary company, has launched two new smartwatches in India. The Huami Amazfit Bip and Amazfit Stratos are two new smartwatches that target different types of audiences and are hence priced in different manners. The Amazfit Bip is more of a fitness tracker and it is priced at Rs. 5,499. The Amazfit Stratos, on the other hand, is priced at Rs. 15,999. Both the smartwatches will be exclusively available via Flipkart.

Amazfit Bip looks more like the Apple Watch

The Amazfit Bip features a 1.28-inch LCD display with a resolution of 176x176 pixels. The watch supports always-on feature which even when turned on can deliver up to 45 days of battery life. The watch comes with a bunch of sensors which include 3-axis acceleration sensor, a barometer, electronic compass, GPS, geomagnetic sensor, and an optical heart rate sensor. The device is also IP68 rated which makes it dust and water resistant and allows users to take it with them even on a swim.

The Stratos has a ceramic body

Unlike the Bip, the Stratos comes with a ton of features. The Amazfit Stratos sports a larger 1.34-inch LCD display with a resolution of 320x320 pixels which also supports the Always-on feature. The device is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor. The watch packs in 512MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage. With a 290mAh battery, Huami claims a battery life of up to 5 days.

Both the smartwatches can connect to your smartphone using Bluetooth. The users can download the MiFit app to synchronise the data between the watch and the phone.

The smart band features a 1.5-inch curved AMOLED display. The Gear Fit 2 Pro runs on Samsung's own TizenOS and has a bunch of watch faces as well as apps available via the company's own app store.

Fitbit is known for providing some of the best fitness trackers with mostly accurate results. The Fitbit Blaze is the company's smartwatch offering that is available at a price of Rs. 12,999. The Blaze features a 1.25-inch OLED display with a resolution of 240x180 pixels. The smartwatch does fitness tracking as well as brings your smartphone's notifications to the watch screen itself.
