Amazon Prime membership now only at Rs. 129 per month: Here's how to get it

Amazon India introduced the Prime Membership a few years ago. The Amazon Prime membership requires users to pay a yearly fee in order to enjoy Prime services which include Prime Music, Prime Videos and much more. The e-commerce website has now introduced the Rs. 129 per month plan in India.

“We are excited to launch Prime monthly membership and offer more payment flexibility to customers. Customers are used to paying for a lot of services on a monthly basis – be it their rent, electricity and mobile bills, and we want to offer this same convenience for Prime. Monthly plan members enjoy all the same benefits as annual plan members do – free & fast shipping on millions of items, Exclusive deals on top products, the best Bollywood and International titles on Prime Video, and Ad-free streaming of millions of songs on Amazon Prime Music” said Akshay Sahi, Director & Head of Prime, Amazon India. “Bade benefits ab chhote monthly packs mein is how we like to think of our monthly plan!” he added.

Amazon Prime membership was earlier available at a fee of Rs. 999 a year. The Rs. 129 per month plan makes it around 50 per cent more expensive than the Rs. 999 plan. However, people who are looking forward to using the Amazon Prime for less than 6 months can take advantage of the per month plan. If you pay Rs. 129 for 12 months, you will end up paying Rs. 1,548 which is Rs. 549 more than the yearly plan.

Interested users can head over to the Amazon Prime Webpage. You will need to login first in order to purchase the membership. You will get two options, "Join Prime at Rs. 129 per month" or "Join a year of Prime at Rs. 999." If you want the monthly subscription, select the option and complete the transaction using your debit or credit card.
