Apple recently announced the Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Editions. The company has now finally introduced the new Black and Red colour variant in India. The (PRODUCT) RED Edition iPhones are now available for pre-orders on Flipkart.
A good news is that Apple has kept the pricing same for both the special edition iPhones as their normal pricing. The Apple iPhone 8 64GB is available for Rs. 67,940 while the 256GB variant retails for Rs. 81,500. The 64GB and 256GB variant of the Apple iPhone 8 Plus is available for Rs 81,500 and Rs 91,110 respectively. Interested buyers for the (PRODUCT) RED Edition iPhones can also head over to their nearest authorised Apple reseller.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are powered by the Apple A11 Bionic chipset. The iPhone 8 features a 4.7-inch display while the iPhone 8 Plus sports a larger 5.5-inch display. Both the smartphones are available in 64GB and 256GB storage options. The iPhone 8 packs in 2GB of RAM while its elder sibling comes with 3GB of RAM.
As for optics, the iPhone 8 sports a 12-megapixel camera sensor at the back. The iPhone 8 Plus, on the other hand, 12-megapixel features a dual-camera setup at the back. Both the smartphones come with a 7-megapixel selfie shooter.
To recall, Apple started (PRODUCT)RED line-up of devices to support HIV/AIDS programmes that provide counselling, testing and medicine that prevents the transmission of HIV from a mother to her unborn child.
The first Apple iPhone to come in (PRODUCT) RED Edition was the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The smartphone was launched with a Red back and a White front. However, many people preferred it to have a Black front panel as Black and Red makes a good colour combination. So Apple decided to listen to its customers and this time around launched the (PRODUCT) RED iPhone with a Black front.
