Apple iPhone X Plus and a 6.1-inch iPhone X to be launched in 2018: Report

Apple recently started shipping out the much awaited iPhone X. Now, the company has already started working on bringing three more variants of the Apple iPhone X. The three new variants will include a cheaper edition of iPhone X, an iPhone X Plus and an iPhone X with a 6.1-inch display. The report is coming from Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities. This report might come true as Kuo is known for giving accurate predictions.

The research notes by Kuo was seen by MacRumors. According to MacRumors, the 6.1-inch iPhone X will be a budget option as it will feature an LCD panel instead of the OLED. This display change will bring down the price of this iPhone to 700-800 USD in the U.S. It is also being said that 70 percent of the LCD panels for this 6.1-inch iPhone X will be supplied by Japan Display.

It is also being said that the upcoming 6.1-inch iPhone X will also have a notch up top. The notch, just like the 2017 iPhone X, will contain the TrueDepth sensors and more. As the screen size is larger, it is expected to have a larger battery than the current Apple iPhone X. the smartphone might loose on some other features like 3D Touch and will come with a single camera at the back instead of a dual camera setup.
