Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie launched in India: Everything you need to know

Asus India has finally launched the ZenFone 4 Selfie Series in India at a launch event held in New Delhi. The company has launched three new smartphones which focus on the Selfie craze. The base model in the Selfie series is the ZenFone 4 Selfie and the midrange being the ZenFone 4 Selfie (Dual Camera Version).

Specifications

Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie and Selfie (dual camera version) share a lot in common like the 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels which delivers 400 nits of brightness for outdoor readability. Both the smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset which is a 64-bit octa-core processor. Graphics on the smartphone are powered by the Adreno 505 GPU. Under the hood of these smartphones is a 3,000mAh battery. Both the smartphones run on Android Nougat with Asus's ZenUI layered on top of it out of the box. Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage whereas the ZenFone 4 Selfie Dual Camera version comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. Both the devices have the capability of expanding storage up to 2TB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

In the Audio department, both the smartphones come with 5-magnet speaker for louder sound and less distortion and dual internal microphones with ASUS Noise Reduction Technology.

On the optics front, the ZenFone 4 Selfie features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and a LED flash. Up front, the phone comes with a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and a selfie flash.

The Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Dual Camera version sports a 16-megapixel camera at the back with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus and a LED flash. The smartphone comes with a dual-camera setup at the front consisting of a 20-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel super wide angle sensor.

Price and Availability

The Asus ZenFone Selfie is priced at Rs. 9,999 while the dual camera version is priced at Rs. 14,999. Both the smartphones will be exclusively available via the e-commerce website Flipkart and the sale starts on September 21. The smartphones will be available in Deepsea Black, Rose Pink and Sunlight Gold colour options.
