Asus Zenfone AR to launch today, Here is everything you need to know

Asus is set to launch the Zenfone AR today in India. This new flagship by Asus is one of the few smartphones to come with Google’s Project Tango Augmented Reality and Google Daydream Mobile Virtual Reality platform. The smartphone will be unveiled today in Delhi, India at 2 pm(IST) in a scheduled press conference. Asus will broadcast the event live on their official channel on YouTube.

The Asus Zenfone AR will be a Flipkart exclusive product as the e-commerce website has already started to show-off the banners announcing the launch of the AR-enabled smartphone. Asus Zenfone AR is the second smartphone to come with Google Tango after Lenovo Phab 2 Pro. However, Zenfone AR is world’s first smartphone to come with both Google Tango as well as Google Daydream support.As far as the specifications are concerned, Zenfone AR being a flagship comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC (System-on-Chip) coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The phone flaunts a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display and packs a 3300mAh battery. The phone runs on Android Nougat out-of-the-box with the company’s own ZenUI layered on top. In the camera department, the phone uses a TriCam system which includes three cameras, a 23-megapixel main camera, a motion-tracking camera and a depth-sensing camera. It also has an 8-megapixel camera at the front.
