Asus ZenFone Live 1 with Android Go announced: Here are some alternatives

Asus ZenFone Live was launched in India last year

Asus India has announced to launch another smartphone and this time it comes with Android Oreo (Go Edition). The Asus ZenFone Live 1 is being introduced in order to compete against smartphones like the Nokia 1. Interestingly, what makes this Android Go smartphone different is the 18:9 display.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Asus ZenFone Live L1 is powered by the  Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. The smartphone features a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440x720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device comes in 1GB and 2GB RAM variant and both are coupled with 16GB of onboard storage. The smartphone runs on Android Oreo (Go Edition) and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.

The ZenFone Live L1 will be first launched in Indonesia on May 17. The company has not disclosed the price of the smartphone yet. Reports suggest that the smartphone will be priced somewhere around Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 10,000. However, if you are really interested in buying an Android Go smartphone, here are some alternatives.

Nokia 1

Nokia 1 was the first smartphone in India to come with Android Oreo (Go Edition)

One of the most popular smartphones to come with Android Go is the Nokia 1. The Nokia 1 sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6737M chipset. The Nokia 1 is priced at Rs. 5,199 which is lower than the Asus ZenFone Live L1's speculated price.

10.or G

The 10.or G sports a dual-camera setup at the back

Believing the reports that the Asus ZenFone Live L1 will be priced above Rs. 7,000, the 10.or G can be a great alternative. 10.or G is not an Android Go smartphone but comes with much better specifications and build quality. 10.or G is powered by a Snapdragon 626 SoC and features a 5.5-inch Full HD+ display. The smartphone starts at a price of Rs. 7,999.
