Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 leaked a day before India lunch

Asus Zenfone Max Pro sports a full-screen display and a dual camera setup on the back

Asus is ready to unveil the ZenFone Max Pro M1 at an event in New Delhi tomorrow. However, in a shocking turn of events, the famous leakster Evan Blass (@EvLeaks) has tweeted out the images and the specifications of the smartphone. The most interesting part that we get to see in the image is that there is no notch on the device. At MWC 2018, Asus seemed very adamant about its notched devices and was sure that notched smartphones are the future. However, that seems to have changed for cheaper devices.

As per the tweet, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor along with 4GB of RAM. It will be having a dual SIM card slot along with a separate microSD card slot.

In the tweet, Evan Blass has leaked two colour variants of the smartphone - Blue and Silver. However, we think at the official event being held on April 23, Asus will end up offering the devices in more colour options. Asus seems to be launching the device to take on the Redmi smartphone lineup, however, it remains to be seen what they end up pricing the phone.

In the leaked images, we can see that the display has rounded corners similar to the ones seen on the Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018). However similar to the A8+ the Zenfone Max Pro M1 also seems to have huge bezels on the top and the bottom corner of the display.

On the back, we can see a vertical dual camera setup which is mounted in the top right corner of the device. In the center of the back, we get to see the fingerprint sensor. It also seems that the back is made out of a metal plate and plastic caps on the top and the bottom.
