Flipkart to launch the Billion Capture+ on November 15: Everything you need to know

Flipkart, the popular e-commerce company in India, is now coming up with a new smartphone under its Billion brand which was announced earlier this year. The Flipkart website has already put up a banner boasting the Billion Capture+ launch which is set for November 15.

“The Billion brand’s products have always been backed by meticulous data-driven research and insight into Indian customers’ needs. The features in the Capture+ too have been derived from deep data-mining of millions of Flipkart customers’ reviews. Few true dual camera phones offer this combination of flagship features. We’re sure this customer-centricity will delight Indian smartphone buyers,” said Sachin Bansal, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Flipkart in a press statement.

As for the specifications, the Billion Capture+ will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a pixel density of 401ppi. The device comes in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage on the Capture+ is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. Under the hood, there is a 3,500mAh battery for which company claims  “two days of uninterrupted battery life.” The phone comes with USB Type C and Quick Charge. The device will run on stock Android Nougat out of the box.

As for the optics, the Billion Capture+ comes with a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of two 13-megapixel sensors where one is an RGB sensor and the other is a monochrome sensor. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.

The Billion Capture+ will be launched on November 15 at a price of Rs. 10,999 for the base variant having 3GB of RAM. The 4GB RAM variant will retail for Rs. 12,999.
