Here's why not to buy the Xiaomi's Mi Gaming Laptop

Xiaomi recently hosted a launch event in China where they unveiled a whole bunch of new products. While the main attention was grabbed by the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, gamers out there were stunned by looking at Xiaomi's first Gaming laptop. Xiaomi has been on the laptop game for a while now, but the Mi Gaming Laptop is the most powerful laptop by Xiaomi. However, these laptops are not perfect and here's why you should not get the Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop.

Availability

Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop is currently available in China. In case you are excited, we just want to clarify that the laptop might never make it to your country. Seeing Xiaomi's track record, most products don't even make their way to the other markets except China. So, you will probably have to import one which can be a bit of a hassle. This also brings us to our next point.

Services

As you will have to import the laptop from China, you might face issues when in need of any kind of official services. The fixes you need on your laptop under warranty might just not be possible at all. Also, the company does not have a very good track record when it comes to service.

The Brand

Xiaomi is surely a renowned brand when it comes to a budget smartphone. However, when we talk about laptops, the first few brands that come to our mind are Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer or Asus. For a few people, it might be hard to trust a brand that is new to producing laptops.

The Price

The Mi Gaming Laptop being a Xiaomi product was expected to be cheap. Though the new laptop is not overpriced, it is not cheap either. The price of the Mi Gaming Laptop is almost as close as its competitors. The lowest model starts at CNY 5999 while the top-end variant is as priced as high as CNY 8,999. As it is, the prices might not sound high but when you think of importing you need to think of the import charges as well.
