Here's why OnePlus has preponed the OnePlus 6T launch event

OnePlus has decided to change the date of their launch event from October 30 to October 29. Here's why

OnePlus 6T will be Amazon exclusive in India

On October 8, OnePlus made an official announcement that they will be launching their next flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 6T on October 30. The company was set to hold the event in New York as well as in New Delhi, India. However, due to certain circumstances the company had to change the dates just 10 days ahead of the launch. Here's why OnePlus changed the dates at the very last moment.

Recently, Apple made an announcement that they will be hosting a launch event on October 30 in Brooklyn, New York. The company is said to launch new iPads as well as much anticipated Macs. Now due to the Apple event, the technology news section of every publication in the world will be filled with stories related to the new Apple devices which is why OnePlus will not get the attention it wants.

So, OnePlus decided to step back and change the launch date to October 29. Now, this has caused the company a lot of expenses as the Chinese firm had booked tickets, hotel rooms and event venue for the media and other important guests. There were also some OnePlus fans who booked the tickets to the launch event and might have made other plans. This has affected the company's finances as all the above-mentioned arrangements were made and even the advertising costs need to repeat.

Interestingly, OnePlus cares about its community, its followers and the fans which is why they have announced that if people will not be able to make it for the October 29 event, they will be eligible to apply for a full refund.

The OnePlus 6T launch event is now scheduled for October 29 and will begin at 11AM EDT in New York City. As of now, the New Delhi launch event of the OnePlus 6T remains unchanged which means the event will kick off at 8:30PM on October 30.
