HMD Global recently launched the Nokia 8 has now launched another smartphone calling it the Nokia 7. The highlight of the new smartphone is its design as it comes with a glass back unlike other Nokia's Android smartphones. The company claims that they have used a 7000 series aluminium frame with diamond-cut bevelled edges for the device. The Nokia 7 is also IP54 certified making it splash and dust resistant.

The Nokia 7 features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution 1920x1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC coupled with Adreno 508 GPU. The phone comes with 64GB of onboard storage and either 4GB of RAM or 6GB of RAM. The storage on the device is expandable using a microSD card. The Nokia 7 is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat which will soon be updated to Android Oreo. As for the connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headset jack, NFC and LTE Cat 6. The fingerprint scanner on the smartphone sits at the back below the camera.

As for the optics, the Nokia 7 sports a 16-megapixel camera at the back with f/1.8 aperture and a dual tone LED flash. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0. Both the camera lenses are provided by Zeiss optics. The smartphone is also capable of capturing and recording bothies, a feature introduced with Nokia 8.
The Nokia 7 go on sale in China starting October 24 at a price of CNY 2,499 (roughly, Rs. 24,500) for the 4GB RAM variant. The 6GB RAM variant retails for CNY 2,699 which roughly converts to Rs. 26,500. however, there is no word on as of when will the smartphone make its way to the other markets.
