Honor after a long time has launched a new smartphone, dubbed the Honor 9X in India. Along with the smartphone, the company has also launched Band 5i and its Magic Watch 2. Here is everything you need to know about these:
Honor 9X is priced at Rs. 13,999 for its base 4GB RAM/128GB storage variant, Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant. The device will be made available in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue colour options, and will be made available on Flipkart starting January 19 12 AM IST.
Consumers purchasing the 4GB RAM variant will get a discount of Rs 1,000 on the first day of sale. Consumers purchasing via an ICICI Bank credit card and Kotak Mahindra debit or credit card till January 22 will get an instant discount of 10 per cent on the device.
Honor Magic Watch 2 42mm variant is priced at Rs 11,999 for the Agate Black colour option, whereas, the Sakura Gold version is priced at Rs. 14,999. The 46mm variant is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the Charcoal Black colour option and at Rs. 14,999 for the Flax Brown colour option. Both the variants will be made available on Amazon on January 18 for Prime members and on January 19 for regular buyers.
All Honor Magic Watch 2 buyers will get a free pair of Honor AM61 Bluetooth earphones till January 22. They can also get a 6-month no-cost EMI plan on all credit and debit cards. SBI credit card holders are eligible for an instant discount of 10 per cent. Other than this Jio customers can also avail benefits worth Rs 2,200 if they opt for the Rs. 249 and Rs. 349 plans.
Honor Band 5i is priced at Rs. 1,999 and will be made available for consumers to purchase on Amazon starting January 18 for Prime Members and January 19 for normal customers. The device body comes in a single colour option: Black, whereas, there are a variety of colours for the bands.
Honor 9X sports a 6.59-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels. It is powered by the company's own HiSilicon Kirin 710F processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card.
The device runs Google's Android 9 Pie operating system with the company's own EMUI 9.1 skin on top. All of this is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging.
It comes with a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with AIS Super Night mode support paired with an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it features a motorised pop-up 16-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, for taking selfies.
Honor Magic Watch 2 comes in two size variants: 42mm and 46mm. Both the variants come with a stainless steel build. The 42mm variant features a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390x390 pixels. Whereas, the 46mm variant comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 454x454 pixels.
The 42mm variant comes with a claimed battery life of seven days with heart rate monitoring and GPS tracking. The 46mm variant comes with a promised battery life of 14 days with heart rate monitoring and GPS tracking.
It comes with eight outdoor modes, seven indoor sports, virtual pace-setter and heart rate monitoring. The watch has a 5ATM water resistance rating and supports the Huawei TruSleep 2.0 technology for diagnosing six common types of sleep disorders. The Huawei TruRelax feature adds stress monitoring capabilities to it. Whereas, the AI-backed Huawei TruSeen 3.5 technology is there for 24x7 heart-rate monitoring.
Honor Band 5i sports a 0.96-inch touch-sensitive colour display with a resolution of 160x80 pixels. It comes with a 3-axis inertial sensor, optical heart rate sensor and infrared light wearing detection sensor.
The band comes with 5ATM water resistance and has nine sports modes. The company claims, that the band's 91mAh battery takes around 1.5 hours to fully charge and delivers up to nine days of usage.
The device can be paired with smartphones running Android 4.4 and above, or iOS 9.0 and a later.
