Honor View 20 is now available in India for a starting price of Rs. 37,999. Here are our first impressions.
Honor has finally launched the much-awaited Honor View 20 in India at an event in Gurugram. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has introduced the flagship to compete against the likes of OnePlus 6T. Priced at Rs. 37,999, the View 20 offers a lot more than the competition. Here are our first impressions.
Honor View 20 features a 6.4-inch IPS LCD display with a hole punch design. It is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor paired with Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. The dual-SIM handset packs in 6GB of RAM or 8GB of RAM coupled with 128GB or 256GB of onboard storage. Under the hood, there is a 4,000mAh battery which supports Super Charge technology.
As for the optics, the Honor View 20 sports a 48-megapixel camera at the back with f/1.8 aperture. The phone also has a TOF 3D camera sensor at the back. Up front, there is a 25-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture.
Honor View 20 looks quite different from most flagship smartphones out there. It is one of the first smartphones to sports a hole punch design up front. Such design helps in getting rid of any sort of notch. It does take some portion of the screen but once a user gets hold of it, selfie camera is not going to bother much.
The View 20 not only from the front, but looks quite different from the back as well. It comes with a V-shape design at the back, which in my opinion looks stunning. The V-design changes shift according to the light reflections thrown on the back.

In the short time we had with the device, we were just mesmerised with its looks. Most of the things advertised by Honor like the 48-megapixel camera, Super Charge, 7nm chipset and more have to be tested out in the real world. We will extensively test out these features in our full review later.
Apart from the View 20, Honor also launched a new smartwatch and a fitness band in India. The Honor Watch Magic is launched in two colour variants, Lava Black and Moonlight Silver, which are priced at Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 14,999 respectively. While the Lava Black gives a more sportier look, the Moonlight Silver variant gives a classic look.
Honor Band 4 is a new fitness tracker by the company, which is here to compete against the likes of Xiaomi Mi Band 3. Unlike the Mi Band, the Honor Band 4 comes with a 0.4-inch colour PMOLED display. It comes with dual wearing mode, which means the user can wear it on his wrist or his foot.
