Here's how to get Zen Mode and Screen Recorder on OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T

OnePlus has finally rolled out the new Zen Mode and Screen Recorder features for the last year's OnePlus 6 and 6T devices.

OnePlus 6 and 6T finally get Zen Mode via Open Beta.

With the new OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer also announced a couple of new software-based features. The company promised it will be bringing some of the features to the older devices as well. Now, OnePlus has finally rolled out a new Open Beta update, which brings both, the new Zen Mode as well as the Screen Recorder.

OnePlus 6 will get these features with the new Open Beta 19 update, whereas, the OnePlus 6T will get them with Open Beta 11. The updates have been rolled out which means people already on the Open Beta ROM should receive the update over-the-air.

As far as the changelog is concerned, the OnePlus 6 and 6T will get Screen Recorder and Zen Mode features with the new update. Apart from that, the update brings an improved smooth-scrolling experience. It also brings support for VoLTE/VoWiFi for Telia Denmark. Further, the bug where Facebook messenger pops up notifications when in gaming mode has been fixed and the logic of dialling a contact while using two SIM cards has been optimised. Indian OnePlus 6/6T users will now also get the ability to Pin-to-top a message from the notification category.

So, if you are excited to check out these new interesting features right away, you can head over to the OnePlus software upgrade section to download the latest OxygenOS OpenBeta ROM for your smartphone.

If you feel adventurous and want to flash the Open Beta, follow the instructions here. Do note however that once you are on that track you will no longer receive the stable updates (only new betas), and if you ever want to go back to stable you will need to fully wipe all the data on your device.
