How to Install iOS 11 on your Apple iOS devices

Apple recently announced the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus alongside the new iPhone X. Just like every year, with the new iPhone's apple also released the final version of the iOS 11 operating system. As per the reports, the iOS update is suggested to hit the devices on September 19, 10:30 PM. The much-awaited software update which brings a complete UI overhaul and brings some new useful features can now be easily downloaded and installed on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Before heading towards the installation, check for the presence of your device in the supported devices list. Also, before proceeding with the update, it is highly recommended to backup your data.

Download and Install iOS 11

Once an update is released, usually users get a notification which they can follow in order to update their iOS devices. However, in some cases, users are not greeted by the notification, but can still get the update. To check for the software update follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and the device will check for any software updates.
  2. Once the update is found, tap on Download and Install.
  3. Once the update is downloaded, tap on Install to proceed further.
  4. The user will need to agree to the terms and conditions by tapping on Agree.

After following the steps correctly, your iOS device will reboot and the update process will complete. Do note, that the whole process can take some time depending on your internet connection. Also, the user must have around 2GB of free storage on the device in order to update.
