How to install MIUI 11

If you haven't got the MIUI 11 you will have to manually update it by flashing the build. You can do the same by downloading the recovery ROM for your device. You can check out the repository here. Ensure you select the right ROM and Global variant if possible for the best experience. Some Rom's are available only with a beta account, so you will need to have a Xiaomi beta enabled the account.

Once you have downloaded, you will need to move the .zip file inside your phone storage. Try to ensure its in the device, not an external memory card. Also, if possible put it inside the root folder of your smartphone for convenient sakes.

Now you need to unlock the recovery options in your MIUI device. Go to your phone settings -> about the phone -> System update and then tap on the MIUI logo 7-8 times until you see the "Additional update features are on" message at the bottom of the screen.

Tap on miui logo 7-8 times
You will see and advanced features are on message
select choose upgrade package

Now click on the three dots on the top and select choose update package. This will open your file manager, where you will select the .zip package you just downloaded.

The phone will verify the package and upon approval, the update process will start. Your phone will reboot multiple times. Wait until it's on and stable. After that, you can enjoy MIUI 11 on your smartphone.

As a precaution, keep your phone charged to 100% and plugged in during the whole process to avoid any problem.
