Huawei on Friday launched a new smartphone in China, the Maimang 6 which is a phablet-sized smartphone. The highlights of the smartphone include the 5.9-inch FHD+ display and the dual-camera setups at the front and the back. The Maimang 6 will make its way to global markets later as the Huawei Mate 10 Lite.
The Huawei Maimang 6 flaunts a 5.9-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ration making the bezels on the smartphone minimal. The resolution of the display is 2160x1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the Huawei's homegrown Kirin 659 chipset which is an octa-core processor. The 5.9-inch phablet comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which is further expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. The device runs on Android Nougat layered with Huawei's custom ROM EMUI 5.1 out of the box. Under the hood is a 3,340mAh battery powering up the device. There is also a fingerprint scanner located at the back of the smartphone.

The camera department is where the Maimang 6 really shines, with a total of four camera sensors on board, this makes the Unique Selling Proposition for the device. The Maimang 6 sports a dual-camera setup at the back with a 16-megapixel primary camera and an additional 2-megapixel camera for capturing the depth in the photograph. Up front, the phablet features a dual-camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel main camera and a secondary 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera.
The Huawei Maimang 6 is currently priced at RMB 2,399 which roughly converts to Rs. 23,500. The smartphone is up for pre-orders in China and will be available starting September 30. The Maimang 6 is available in Black, Gold and Blue colour variants.
