Huawei Mate 10 to come with a bezel-less display: Report

Huawei is reportedly working on the Huawei Mate 10 which will be a successor to the company’s Mate 9. The upcoming Mate 10 is said to feature a bezel-less display which we have been seeing with the Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6, Xiaomi Mi Mix, Essential Phone and much more. There are rumours that the Apple iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 might also come with a bezel-less design.

During an interview with Bloomberg, Richard Yu, the CEO of Huawei told that Huawei Mate 10 will be launched in September around the same time that of the launch of the iPhone 8. The CEO also added that the upcoming Mate 10 will have many exciting features and the smartphone will be better than the next generation iPhone. Yu also said that the phone will come with a full-screen display, longer battery life, quicker charging, better photography, and much more.

“The Mate 10, which has much longer battery life with a full-screen display, quicker charging speed, better-photographing capability and many other features that will help us compete with Apple,”

said Richard Yu, CEO Huawei.

According to some previous reports, the company has been working on developing an Artificial Intelligence chipset which Huawei can use in their upcoming smartphones. The rumoured chipset may come with the Mate 10 as the company wants it to make a tough competition for Apple. Reports also claim that the upcoming Mate 10 will come with facial recognition, Iris scanner, support for AR, and might feature a 3D sensor as well. This smartphone might be powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor which is based on the 10nm technology.

The phone is also expected to run on Android Nougat out-of-the-box. The smartphone is said to feature a 6-inch quad HD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
