Huawei, the Chinese tech giant known for producing some great smartphones at a budget is back with another smartphone. The company has launched another budget-oriented smartphone, the Huawei Y9 (2018). The Y9 (2018) another addition to the company's Y-lineup of smartphones. The smartphone offers better performance and has a better camera setup.
The all-new Huawei Y9 (2018) is very similar to the Honor 7X and the Honor 9 Lite in terms of the hardware. However, it does have a few changes in the camera department. The highlights of the device include the 18:9 display, Android Oreo and dual camera setup at the front as well as the back.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Huawei Y9 (2018) is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 659 octa-core SoC. The smartphone features a 5.93-inch IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device packs in 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Storage on the Y9 is expandable using a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 out-of-the-box. Under the hood, there is a 4,000mAh battery powering up the internals.

On the optics front, the Huawei Y9 (2018) sports a dual camera setup at the back. The dual camera setup consists of a 13-megapixel and a 2-megapixel sensor with a LED flash. Up front, there is a 16MP+2MP dual camera setup for selfies.
The Huawei has currently launched the Y9 (2018) in Thailand. The price of the smartphone is not yet unveiled. However, reports suggest that the smartphone will be priced at around EUR 200 (roughly Rs. 16,000). The smartphone is available in Black, Blue and Gold colour variants. There is no word as to when the smartphone will make its way to the other markets.
