Intex, India's tech giant, one Wednesday, has launched its yet another VR capable smartphone at a cheap price calling it the Intex Aqua 5.5 VR+. The unique selling proposition (USP) of the smartphone is that it brings VR capabilities at such a low price. The Intex Aqua 5.5 VR+ retails for Rs. 5,799. The smartphone also comes with a VR headset and 3D content loaded on to the device.
Commenting on the launch, Ishita Bansal from Intex said: “With Aqua 5.5 VR+, we have added a valuable product to our portfolio and are working towards creating an industry benchmark in terms of affordable phones with high-end features. The product promises to deliver the high-quality experience and satisfy all users. We are also excited about our partnership with Flipkart for this product and are confident about expanding our online reach with the association.”
The Intex Aqua 5.5 VR+ features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and a pixel density of 267ppi. The smartphone is powered by quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.25GHz. The phone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage which is further expandable using a microSD card. Under the hood, there is a 2,800mAh battery powering up the device. The Aqua 5.5 VR+ runs on Android Nougat out of the box.

In the camera department, the Aqua 5.5 VR+ sports an 8-megapixel camera at the back with LED flash. Up front, the phone comes with a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.
The Intex Aqua 5.5 VR+ is priced at Rs. 5,799 and is available exclusively via the e-commerce website Flipkart.
