iVoomi FitMe fitness band launched in India: Price, Availability and Alternatives

iVoomi FitMe sports a 0.87-inch OLED display

iVoomi, a smartphone manufacturer known for launching budget smartphones in India has come up with a new product. This time instead of launching a new smartphone, iVoomi has launched a fitness tracker, the iVoomi FitMe Health Band. This fitness band will get you track your workout and will help you get into total shape.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Ashwin Bhandari, CEO, iVOOMi India says, “As per recent reports, Fitness bands are the most popular devices holding the maximum market share in the category of wearables. When we entered the Indian market back in March 2017, we had envisioned to design and bring a product specifically for the young and fitness-conscious millennials of the country. The FitMe Health Band is sleek, smart, dust-proof, and water resistant & features a display of 128*32 pixels resolution that makes it crystal clear from all viewing angles and under all conditions. The band is enriched with features that suit the needs and requirements of our customers”

The iVoomi FitMe directly competes against the popular Xiaomi Mi Band 2. However, the health band by iVoomi does bring one distinctive feature and that is the Air Quality Index tracker. Air Quality Index (AQI) tells you how clean or unhealthy the air around you is. Apart from the AQI, the FitMe band also comes with features like Heart Rate Monitor, Sleep Monitor, Long Sitting Alert, Running Mode, Vibration Reminder, Pedometer and much more.

The iVoomi Fitme provides all these features and gives a battery backup of 3 to 5 days, as per the company. The 90mAh battery inside can even deliver up to 60 days of standby time without connection and bright screen. The band is also IP67 rated which makes it dust and water resistant.

The iVoomi FitMe Health Band is priced at Rs. 1,999 and will be available exclusively via Flipkart starting May 3.

At Rs. 1,999, here are some alternatives to the FitMe band

Xiaomi Mi Band - HRX Edition

The Xiaomi Mi Band - HRX Edition looks similar to the Mi Band 2

Xiaomi Mi Band - HRX Edition is the biggest competitor for the iVoomi FitMe band. The Mi Band - HRX Edition is Rs. 700 cheaper than the FitMe band at Rs. 1,299. The Mi Band offers most features spotted on the FitMe band except for the AQI tracker. So, if the absence of an AQI tracker does not make much difference for you, the Xiaomi Mi Band - HRX Edition can be a great fitness tracker and you can save some money as well.

Fastrack Reflex

Fastrack Reflex Smart Bands are available in various colour options

Fastrack also has its own fitness tracker named the Fastrack Reflex. The Reflex also makes a good alternative to the FitMe by iVoomi. However, just like the Mi Band, you will lose the Air Quality Index tracker. The Fastrack Reflex is currently available for Rs. 1,995 via Flipkart.
