Jio on march 31, announced the Jio Summer Surprise offer for its Prime subscribers to avail. The Jio Prime Members under the Jio Summer Surprise offer would be able to do the first recharge of Rs.303 or higher. And with it get three months of complimentary service for the same plan.
On Thursday, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRAI) advised Reliance Jio to withdraw the Jio Summer Surprise offer from the market. Thus, telling Jio that giving three months of free service to its prime members is not advised.
Jio has accepted TRAI's decision. And is in the process of withdrawing the three-month complimentary summer surprise offer as advised by TRAI. Jio has issued a statement saying that the summer surprise offer will be withdrawn as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days.
However, their is a good news for all the customers who have already subscribed to the summer surprise offer. Jio though listening and complying to the advice by TRAI to withdraw the offer. Will not roll back the summer surprise offer from the users who have already subscribed to it prior the discontinuation.
