JioTVCamera for Jio Fiber set-top box launched in India

Reliance Jio has launched its new JioTVCamera for Jio Fiber customers to make video calls. It is currently available on Jio.com at Rs 2,999.

The JioTVCamera can be simply plugged into the Jio Fiber set-top box and be placed on the top of your TV to make video calls.

Reliance Jio has just launched its new JioTVCamera accessory for its Jio Fiber customers. With the JioTVCamera, customers will be able to make video calls via the Jio Fiber set-top box. The company has not stated if third party cameras work with its set-top box or not.

It is priced at Rs. 2,999 and is currently available on the company's website. The company claims to have the device delivered to you within three to five business days. It comes with a one year warranty along with a replacement warranty of seven days in case of damages or defect. The company is offering customers EMI options on the purchase.

JioTVCamera: Features

The JioTVCamera can be simply plugged into the Jio Fiber set-top box and be placed on the top of your TV to make video calls. The set-top box is being provided to all Jio Fiber customers free of cost.

The camera enables video calls to only Jio numbers, whereas, it allows the customers to make audio calls to all mobile numbers.

To setup the device you just need to plug it in, reboot the set-top box and set up your landline number using the JioCall app.

The JioTV Camera comes with a 120-degree field of view. It sports a 1/2.7-inch CMOS sensor with a focal length of 3.1mm. It weighs in at 93 grams and has an input voltage of 5V.

The Jio Fiber set-top box is an Android-based streaming media player, which can run various OTT apps like Hotstar, YouTube, Voot, JioSaavn, JioTV Plus, SonyLIV and JioCinema.
