Lava Z62 launched in India: Price, specifications and availability

Lava has introduced the Lava Z62 with 'Throw your TV away' offer in India. Here's everything you need to know about the budget smartphone.

Lava Z62 is a successor to the last year's Lava Z61 and will run Google's Android 9.0 Pie operating system.

Lava, the Indian smartphone manufacturer has just launched a new smartphone in India, the Lava Z62. The company has also launched a new 'Throw your TV away' offer to go along with the new smartphone. Under this offer, it will be offering customers a chance to get a Lava Z62 in exchange for their old TV.

Lava Z62 is a successor to the last year's Lava Z61 and comes with features like a 6-inch full view display, 8-megapixel back camera and a 3,380mAh battery.

It is priced at Rs. 6,060 in India for the sole 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant. The device will go on sale starting June 18 at 10 am, with the 'Throw your TV away' offer also going live. However, this offer will be available as first come first serve and will be available till stocks last.

Lava Z62 sports a 6-inch Full View display. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 processor paired with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The device will come with 2GB of RAM along with 16GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. It will run Google's Android 9.0 Pie operating system. All of this will be backed by a 3,380mAh battery.

Coming to the camera specifications, the device sports an 8-megapixel sensor on the back paired with an LED flash module. On the front, it features a 5-megapixel sensor paired with an LED flash to take selfies.

The company also states that the device comes with a number of camera modes. These modes include an AI Photo Studio and Professional Mode.
