LG Q7 launched in India: Price, Specifications and Alternatives

LG has launched a new mid-range smartphone in India, the LG Q7. The specs aren't impressive enough so here are some alternatives.

LG Q7 comes with an 18:9 display and IP68 certification

The South Korean giant, LG has launched a new mid-range smartphone in India, the LG Q7. It is a successor to the LG Q6 and will go on sale via online and offline markets in India from September 1 at a starting price of Rs. 15,990. Interestingly, at this price, the LG Q7 comes with IP68 certification which makes it dust and water resistant.

Specifications

As for the specifications, the LG Q7 features a 5.5-inch FullVision Display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek MT6750S processor paired with the Mali-T860MP2 GPU. The dual-SIM handset comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 512GB using a microSD card. All of this is backed by a 3,000mAh battery which comes with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

On the optics front, the LG Q7 sports a 13-megapixel camera at the back f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and a LED flash. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/1.9 aperture.

The LG Q7 is priced at Rs. 15,990 and if you spend just Rs. 1,000 more, you can grab the base variant of the Xiaomi Mi A2. The Mi A2 is a part of Google's Android One program which brings stock Android 8.1 Oreo with quicker updates. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and features a 5.99-inch FullHD+ display. The Xiaomi Mi A2 is available at a starting price of Rs. 16,999.
