LG V30 launched: Here's everything you need to know

LG has finally launched one of the most anticipated Android smartphones of the year. With the LG V30, the company brings the LG G6 like design language which was much beautiful and elegant with the V-series standouts like the camera and multimedia capabilities. Being more powerful than the G6, the V30 is, even more, lighter at 158grams. For a great multimedia experience the smartphone packs in a 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC. Sadly, we don't have a second display like we saw on the V10 and V20, but the V30 now has an always-on-display which gets the job done.

Specifications

The LG V30 features a 6-inch QuadHD+ P-OLED FullVision display with a resolution of 2880x1440 pixels and a pixel density of 538ppi. The display on the V30 has an 18:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 82 percent and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. The device packs in 4GB of RAM paired with 64GB of onboard storage. The phone runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with the company's own LG UX 6.0+ skin layered at the top out of the box. All of this is backed by a non-removable 3,300mAh battery which supports wireless charging and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. As far as the certifications go, the LG V30 is IP68 water and dust resistant.

On the optics front, the V30 sports a dual camera setup at the back with a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.6 aperture, laser detection autofocus, OIS, EIS and a 13-megapixel wide angle sensor with f/1.9 aperture. The camera on the V30 comes with new features which will help in better photography and videography experience. The camera lenses on the V30 are the new crystal clear lenses which will help in getting more crisp and clear pictures.

As far as the connectivity is concerned, the V30 supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 BLE, NFC and USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible).

The LG V30 will be available in Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet colour variants.
