Meizu M6s with a Halo Button Launched: Price Specifications and Availability

Chinese Consumer Electronic giant Meizu has finally unveiled their latest mid-range handset, the Meizu M6s. The Meizu M6s, as rumours predicted comes with a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and the smartphone does not sport a physical mBack key that has been one of the most important design features of the Meizu phones from the past few years.

Meizu M6s Design

Meizu M6s is a full metal body smartphone with its fingerprint scanner is placed on the right, just below its power key. A strange design decision which has been never seen before. On the left-hand side, you will find a volume rocker and a sim card tray. With the 18:9 aspect ratio display, the bezels on the device are quite thin.

Meizu with the M6s decided to replace the multi-function mBack key with something called as the ‘Halo Button’. Halo Button serves the same functionality as the mBack key used to do, but it is now more enhanced. Touching the button will act as a back key, while you can force touch it for the home key. Moreover, if you long-press the Halo Button, the display will lock and you can swipe it left and right in order to switch between your recent applications. Also, you can swipe up to activate the multitasking menu. All of these functionalities were embedded in the company's mBack key.

The Meizu M6s sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display with a 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone is powered by an Exynos 7872 64-bit hexacore processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage. The device runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with Meizu's FlyMe 6.2 skin on top.

Meizu M6s Price and Availability

The Meizu M6s is available in Champagne Gold, Matte Black, Moonlight Silver and Cobalt Blue colour variant and costs 999 Yuan(roughly Rs 9,900) for the 32GB variant and 1,199 Yuan (roughly Rs 11,900) for the 64GB variant.
