Misfit launches wearable devices in India, will it compete against Fitbit

NEW DELHI: Misfit, maker of Fitness Wearables has launched its devices in India. Three Misfit wearable products are now available for people in India to be purchased via Snapdeal exclusively – Misfit Shine, Misfit Flash, and Misfit Link.

And the great thing about all these devices is that you don’t require charging, they are water resistant, and they also are compatible with free companion apps on iOS and Android.

The Misfit Shine is sporting an all-metal body and is an activity and sleep tracker that is wearable virtually anywhere on the human body and it will automatically measure steps taken, calories burnt, distance covered, and light and deep sleep. Misfit Shine lets users track walking, running, cycling, football, swimming, dance, and more. Users can double tap the faceplate of Shine’s metal body to see progress toward their daily activity goal which will be given to the users by indicator lights, and they can also sync with the Misfit app to see more data and connect with friends. It is available at Rs 5499, Shine is compatible with a variety of accessories including a luxe leather band and a polished necklace, Bloom.

Misfit Flash basically tracks the same activity and sleep metrics as Shine but is made from a special soft-touch plastic and comes in a variety of colour options. Users can press on Flash’s face to view progress or enable one of Flash’s smart button features, like messaging friends or start a playlist. Flash is wearable anywhere with a sports band or clasp and is available at Rs 2499.

Misfit Link is a multi-purpose smart button. It can be used to take a selfie with the phone camera app, control music, or advance slides in a presentation, among other functions like fitness tracking. It is priced at Rs 1999.
