MIUI 12: Here's a list of Xiaomi smartphones that will get the update

MIUI 12 has just been announced and here's a list of Mi, Redmi devices that will be receiving the Android-based update in the coming months.

Xiaomi has rolled out the MIUI 12 eligible devices list.

Xiaomi has just announced the launch of the latest iteration its Android-based custom skin, MIUI 12. The latest version of the skin not only offers aesthetic changes but also brings in tons of new features. Currently, the latest edition of MIUI is available only in China and it should expand to other markets soon.

While the company has not yet revealed a timeline for the rollout, it has revealed the list of devices that will be receiving the MIUI 12 update. In the pure Xiaomi fashion, the update will be rolled out in batches. Here's a list of eligible Xiaomi devices that will soon be receiving the latest update:

  • Mi Mix 3
  • Xiaomi Mi 8 series
  • Redmi Note 8 Pro
  • Redmi Note 7, 7 Pro

Third Batch

  • Mi Mix 2

  • Mi CC9, CC9 Pro, CC9e

Xiaomi has already started rolling out the update for some of the above-mentioned devices via a closed beta program. While the closed beta of the MIUI 12 is limited to Chinese variants, the company has stopped rolling out global beta versions. Also, as these beta versions might feature some bugs, we would highly recommend waiting for the stable release.

As far as the MIUI 12 features are concerned, the latest iteration of the custom Android skin brings Dark Mode 2.0, an improved dark theme for Xiaomi smartphones. Apart from that, the new update brings a new collection of wallpapers, improved animations, new gestures, health tracking, AI calling, enhanced security and much more.
