Moto E5 Play, the company's first Android Go Editon smartphone launched. Here are some alternatives available right now
Motorola has finally come up with its answer to the Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphones. The Moto E5 Play is a budget-oriented smartphone, announced by the company recently, that now has an Android 8.0 Oreo Go Edition. The handset is available in Europe for a price of EUR 109 which roughly converts to Rs. 8,700.
For those who are unaware, Google released the Android Oreo (Go Edition) last year which is optimised specially for the entry-level Android smartphones. The operating system brings a smooth user experience even on phones with as low as 512MB of RAM. Google has also introduced Go apps which are light and made for the entry-level smartphones.
In terms of specifications, the Moto E5 Play Android Go Edition features a 5.84-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC. The dual-SIM handset packs in 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. Under the hood, there is a 2,100mAh battery powering up the internals.
On the optics front, the Moto E5 Play comes with an 8-megapixel camera at the back while the front gets a 5-megapixel selfie shooter.
Until the Moto E5 Play Android Go Edition launches in India, here are some alternatives to consider.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A is one of the most popular options when it comes to the ultra-budget segment smartphones.
