Motorola India has finally launched the Moto G5S and the Moto G5S Plus in India where S stands for 'Special Edition'. The phones are an add up to the company's budget smartphones portfolio. The highlight of the Moto G5S Plus is the comeback of the Moto Dimple at the rear and a dual camera setup at the back which has now become a trend in the smartphone industry.
Moto G5S features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The storage on the device is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. Under the hood, powering up the hardware is a 3,000mAh battery. The phone runs on pure stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, which will soon be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo.
On the optics front, the G5S features a 16-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the phone packs-in a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an LED flash.

Moto G5S Plus sports a 5.5-inch full HD PS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and a pixel density of 401ppi. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone is available with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The storage on the device is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. Under the hood, powering up the hardware is a 3,000mAh battery. The phone runs on pure stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, which will soon be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo.
On the optics front, the G5S Plus features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of two 13-megapixel camera sensors with f/2.0 aperture and a dual tone LED flash. The camera setup is a Monochrome + RGB setup. The rear camera on the G5S Plus also supports 4K Video recording and slow-motion video recording. For selfies and video calling, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a selfie flash.
The Moto G5S is currently priced at Rs. 13,999 and will be available at retail stores, Amazon and the new Moto Hub. The sale of the G5S starts tonight at 11:59 PM.
The Moto G5S Plus is available in two colours, namely, Lunar Gray and Blush Gold. The phone is currently priced at Rs. 15,999 and is exclusively available via Amazon India and the Moto Hub retail stores.
Customers buying the Moto G5S Plus will get an extra Rs. 1,000 off on exchanging old moto phone. There is no cost EMI on all credit cards. Customers can also buy the Moto Sports headphones along with the Moto G5S Plus at a price of Rs. 499. Users will also 50GB additional 4G data on Reliance Jio.
The company has also decreased the price of the Moto G5 Plus which is now priced at Rs. 14,999.
