Moto G6, G6 Plus and G6 Play to launch soon: Here's everything you need to know

Lenovo-owned Motorola is now gearing up to bring its next line of G-series smartphones. The popular mid-range G-family by Moto is getting a refresh and will be introduced as Moto G6, G6 Plus and G6 Play. The launch of the smartphones is just around the corner and we have witnessed a lot of leaks and rumours till now. So here's a wrap up to give you a clue on what the new devices will look like.

Moto G6

The Moto G6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC. The smartphone features a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device will pack in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which is further expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. The smartphone will run on Android Oreo out of the box. Under the hood, there will be a 3,000mAh battery.

On the optics front, the Moto G6 will sport a dual camera setup at the back which will include a 12MP+5MP setup. Up front, there will be a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. The Moto G6 will be priced at around USD 249 (Rs 16,000 approx).

Moto G6 Plus

Moto G6 Plus will be the top-of-the-line smartphone in the G-lineup. The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. The smartphone will sport a 5.93-inch IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The device packs in 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which can be further expanded using a microSD card of 256GB. The smartphone will run Android Oreo and will be backed by a 3,200mAh battery.

Moto G6 Play

Moto G6 Play will feature a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440x720 pixels. The smartphone will be powered by an Octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. As for storage, there will be 16GB of in internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. The smartphone will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery and will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. The handset will be priced at around USD 199 which roughly converts to Rs. 13,000.
