Moto X4 Android One edition with dual-camera setup announced

Moto has gained a lot of attention by launching the Moto X4 recently. It has been in the news lately that the new smartphone might also come in an Android One edition. The Moto X4 Android One edition has finally been announced in the United States of America. The smartphone is also compatible with Google Project Fi making it the first Android One smartphone to support Project Fi. Project Fi is wireless service from Google that offers different plans for calls, messages and data.

The Moto X4 Android One edition comes with the same hardware specifications as of the Moto X4 sold in other parts of the world. However, as Android One brings pure stock Android experience, the smartphone looses some useful features like Moto Display, Moto Voice, Moto Access and the Amazon Alexa Voice.

The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and will soon be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo soon. Under the hood, there is a 3,000mAh battery powering up the device. On the optics front, the Moto X4 sports a dual-camera setup at the back which consists of a 12-megapixel and an 8-megapixel camera sensor.  Up front, the phone comes with a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.
