Design

This camera gives a good grip due to its strong and sturdy body. The massive Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens let users to capture amazing pictures using the camera. It gives good stability because of its small size and the proper positioning of the shutter release button. The Nikon D7000 camera comes with 18-105mm zoom lens that gives great zooming capability while taking pictures. The amazing 16.2 megapixel resolution of the 3-inch display gives good quality images having perfect colours and tones. The other features this camera gives are video recording and digital viewfinder. It also has connectors such as MicroUSB, mini HDMI and GPS signal port for charging and connecting to PC or TV.

Display

The 3-inch D7000 DSLR camera provides great resolution of 920k dot resolution. The Live View (LV) lever can be used for capturing 1920x1080 pixels videos at 24fps which is a standard frame rate.

Controls

The D7000 camera has four AF point selection modes that enable the user to get excellent quality pictures. These modes are single-point, auto-area, dynamic-area and 3D tracking. The users can select the AF themselves through the single-point mode. In case, the user wants to keep the lens focus turned on at all times then the autofocus mode can be used. It is difficult to get stable pictures when the subject is in motion. The continuous-servo mode solves this issue by letting users to decide the initial AF point.

Image Quality

The Nikon D7000 camera gives great colour quality, accuracy, light sensitivity as well as contrast for the pictures taken from it. This is achieved due to the four lenses it has that includes 50mm f/1.4 Sigma, 18-105mm Nikon and 55-200 f/3.5-5.6 Nikon. The high ISO provided by the 16.2 megapixel resolution allows users to take amazing individual pictures. When the camera is zoomed out, up to 2000 low ratings can be achieved while for zooming out, it gives 1250 ratings. The file extension JPEG and RAW are the ones in which the pictures are stored.

Video Quality

The 1080 p at 24fps or 720p at 30fps resolutions offered by the Nikon D7000 camera give awesome quality videos. The only disappointment is that the videos might get blurry due to the lack of focus, accuracy and poor stability of the camera.

Verdict

The D7000 SLR camera is a great feature-packed camera that provides features of both D90 as well as D300 camera. This camera is available at mid-range price which makes it affordable for most of the population in India.
