Nokia C1 Android Go smartphone launched, comes with a quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 2,500mAh battery. Price yet to be unveiled.
HMD Global has launched its latest Android Go Edition smartphone, dubbed the Nokia C1. This is the first phone from the company to ditch the number-based branding.
The company is yet to reveal the price of the Nokia C1, however, it has stated that the device will be made available in Africa, the Middle East and Asian Pacific. Which means it will soon be coming to India. The device will be offered in Black and Red colour options.
"Millions of consumers across markets in Africa, Middle East and APAC will upgrade from a feature phone to their first smartphone," Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global, said in a tweet. "Nokia C1 is a smartphone they can trust - bringing quality experiences at an affordable price with 3G connectivity."
The smartphone sports quite a conventional design featuring no notches, hole-punch or pop-up cameras. Key features of the device include a quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 2,500mAh battery.
Nokia C1 sports a 5.45-inch FWVGA+ IPS display. It is powered by an unnamed quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The device comes with 1GB of RAM paired with 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card. It runs Google's Android 9 Pie (Go Edition) operating system and is backed by a 2,500mAh removable battery. The phone only supports 3G bands and has no support for 4G. However, we expect the company to launch a 4G variant in India too.
