HMD Global helped the Nokia brand to come back into the smartphone game last year. Though the companies portfolio is not big enough, they are working on bringing a lot of devices at different price segments. In 2017, the Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8 got really popular. The company has already launched the Nokia 7 and Nokia 6 (2018) which might make their way to India soon. Now, the company is about to launch the Nokia 1 soon.
The smartphone giant has launched a couple of smartphones set with different price tags. Nokia is now said to be working on a smartphone which will be the cheapest of the bunch. The Nokia 1 will be an entry-level smartphone offering by the company. The smartphone is said to be based on Android Oreo (Go Edition) which is specially designed for entry-level smartphones. As the Nokia 1's launch is just around the corner, we also have a clue on what it will carry under the hood.
In terms of specifications, the Nokia 1 is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 SoC. It is also being said that the Nokia 1 might come with an entry-level MediaTek chipset. The smartphone will feature a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The device will pack in 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage which will be expandable using a microSD card.
