OnePlus 5T goes out of stock in the United States, OnePlus 6 incoming

Chinese Smartphone Manufacturer OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of the new OnePlus 6. However, the OnePlus 5T, company's present flagship is no longer available. At least in the United States of America. The official site of the company is no longer selling the device in the United States. According to the company, this is due to the higher demand for the smartphone than expected. Due to such a high demand, the company is not able to produce an adequate number of units, hence the device is out of stock. The latest development comes after the rumours of the OnePlus 6 launching in the Q2 2018. Last time also, after the launch of the OnePlus 5T, the OnePlus 5 went out of stock. This means the OnePlus 6 is coming soon.

Unlike other major companies like Samsung, Sony, and its home ground competitor Xiaomi, OnePlus launches only one model at a time. The launch of OnePlus 5T led to the stop of sales of the OnePlus 5. The OnePlus 6 will stop the sale of the OnePlus 5T. Hence, seeing a production of the OnePlus 5T just before OnePlus 6 launch is a good strategy. However, the device is still in stock at some retailers like the Amazon.

What does the non-availability of the OnePlus 5T mean for the company?

Although, the units are in full stock in many of the countries. However, directing units is not an option, as due to the use of different ac adapters in different countries. This fuels the launch demand of OnePlus 6 even more. The device can be launched in May or June. This will match the schedule of the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 5. However, the gap of a few months from now to the launch of OnePlus 6 may harm sales for the company.
