OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition to launch on December 15, will be available across India

OnePlus recently announced their new flagship, the OnePlus 5T which is a successor to their OnePlus 5 flagship smartphone. The company launched Midnight black limited edition for the OnePlus 3T while the OnePlus 5 got JCC+. So, as OnePlus likes to do something special with their smartphone after they have launched, OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition has been introduced. This new edition has been introduced in association with the most awaited movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The company is also celebrating its anniversary in India on December 2. The Star Wars edition smartphone will go on sale starting December 15 across all channels including Amazon.in, oneplusstore.in and OnePlus experience zones in Bangalore and Noida. To celebrate the anniversary and to introduce the Star Wars edition OnePlus 5T, the company will host a launch event. OnePlus and Star Wars fans can be a part of the launch event in Mumbai by booking the tickets for Rs. 999 on Paytm, starting 7th Dec from 10 am onwards.

The Star Wars edition will carry the same specifications found on the regular OnePlus 5T. To recall, the OnePlus 5T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with the Adreno 540 GPU. The smartphone features a 6.01-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160x1080 pixels. The Star Wars edition will be the higher end variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The smartphone runs on OxygenOS based on Android Nougat out of the box. Under the hood, there is a 3,300mAh battery powering up the internals.

As for the optics, the OnePlus 5T sports a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture combined with a 20-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture. The rear cameras come with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash.
