Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is going to launch their latest flagship OnePlus 6 on May 17th. The smartphone will be unveiled globally a day ahead of it's India and China release. However, the fans will have to wait to buy the phone. The smartphone will go on sale on May 21st. Also, it will be an Amazon Exclusive. Also, we know there will be an Avengers: Infinity War Edition of the OnePlus 6. Here is what to expect.
The design of the OnePlus 6 will be interesting. It will sport a Notch-like the iPhone X. Presumably smaller but will have a notch. Also, the company will move away from the aluminium construction in favour of a glass back to enable wireless charging. This will be a radical design shift compared to the OnePlus 5T.
Very little is known about the OnePlus 6 specifications as of know. We know the smartphone will sport a 19:9 aspect ratio display. It will pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. However, there will be 6GB RAM as well as 64 and 128 GB storage variants as well. It will also pack an IP rating. The OnePlus 5T sports the last generation Snapdragon 835 with no 256GB storage variant. It also packs no IP rating.
In terms of optics, the OnePlus 6 will bring a set of improvements over the already good OnePlus 5T. The OnePlus 6 can have a vertically placed camera sensor at the back of the centre. However, the exact camera specifications are still unknown. However, the different placement of the sensor will improve the quality of the photos at least in theory.
