Oppo F5 launched in India: Price, Specifications and Availability

Oppo has finally launched the much-awaited Oppo F5 smartphone in India. The smartphone is the flagship offering from the company and just like all the smartphones from the company, this one is also selfie-centric. The smartphone was launched in Philipines a few days ago and has now finally taken a step into the Indian market. The unique selling proposition of the Oppo F5 is the full-screen display with minimal bezels and the artificial intelligence (AI) beauty technology integrated into the front camera.

Specifications

The Oppo F5 features a 6-inch LTPS IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio P23 coupled with Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. The device comes in two variants, one with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage while the other one carries a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The storage on the F5 is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.

Under the hood, there is a 3,200mAh non-removable battery powering up the device. The Oppo F5 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.2 skin layered on top of it out of the box.

As for the optics, the Oppo F5 sports a 16-megapixel camera at the back with f/1.8 aperture and a LED flash. Up front, there is a 20-megapixel selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0.

Price and Specifications

The Oppo F5 is currently priced at Rs. 19,990 for the 4GB + 32GB variant while the 6GB + 64GB variant retails for Rs. 24,990. The smartphone can be pre-booked starting today until November 8 and the first sale will be on November 9. The F5 is available in Gold, Black and Red (only for the 6GB RAM variant)  colour variants.
