Oppo Pad with Oppo Pencil, Snapdragon 870 SoC launched: Price, specifications

Oppo just launched its first tablet, dubbed the Oppo Pad in the Chinese market. The new tablet looks similar to the Realme Pad, which was launched by the Oppo owned brand last year.

Key features of the new Oppo Pad include an 11-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, support for Oppo Pencil and more.

Oppo Pad: Price

Oppo Pad is priced at Yuan 2,299 (approximately Rs 27,370) for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant, at Yuan 2,699 (approximately Rs 32,160) for the 6GB RAM/256GB storage option, and at Yuan 2,999 (approximately Rs 35,720) for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant.

The tablet will be made available in the Chinese market starting March 3 in Black and Purple colour variants.

Apart from the regular version, the company has also launched an Oppo Pad Artist Edition with 8GB of RAM/256GB of internal storage priced at Yuan 3,499 (approximately Rs 41,700). The Artist Edition comes with a custom two-tone metallic Silver finish with special patterns and engraving on the top side of the back panel.

Oppo Pad: Specifications

Oppo Pad sports an 11-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2560x1600 pixels resolution. It comes with HDR10 support, a 120Hz touch sampling rate and support for P3 wide colour gamut. The company claims to have added hardware-level anti-blue light solutions inside of the display to make it easy on the eyes.

The back panel of the device features large engravings spelling out Oppo and a smaller branding in the middle.

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The company claims to have integrated a multi-layered graphite + silicone heat dissipation system into the tablet to keep it cool during prolonged usage.

Oppo Pad will come bundled with a custom stylus named Oppo Pencil, which will come with an adjustable tip. The company claims that the stylus has 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity and comes with wireless fast charging capabilities. It can last for up to 13 hours on a single charge.

It runs Google's Android 11 operating system with the company's own ColorOS 12 skin on top. It also comes with multiple software features including four-finger pinch, two-finger split-screen, parallel windows, and multi-device cross-screen collaboration.

All of this is backed by an 8,360mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging capabilities.

It comes with a quad-speaker setup, which comprises second-generation ACC speakers equipped with four 1.8-1.9cm independent sound chambers. The speakers come with support for Dolby Atmos and are Hi-Res audio.

Coming to the cameras, the device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera paired with an LED flash. At the front, it features an 8-megapixel sensor for capturing selfies.
