Poco X2 is set to hit the Indian shelves next month and it could be just a rebranded Xiaomi Redmi K30 4G with Snapdragon 730G.
Xiaomi recently announced that Poco, which was introduced as a Xiaomi sub-brand, will now function independently. As it is no more a sub-brand, Poco will get a separate team and even a separate office. With such a huge announcement coming after almost two years since Poco F1's launch, we can expect the next smartphone to arrive sooner than later.
Poco recently rolled out a teaser video via its social media channels that point towards a nearing launch. The teaser also hints that the upcoming smartphone will be labelled Poco X2. The smartphone is expected to be more affordable than the Poco F series. It is also being speculated that the Poco X2 will basically be a rebranded Redmi K30 4G, which was launched in China last month.
As for the specifications, the Redmi K30 4G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The smartphone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a punch holde design inspired by the Samsung Galaxy S10 series.
Apart from that, the Poco F2 will run on MIUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box. It is also expected to come with a 4,500mAh battery with support for fast charging.
