PUBG Mobile Arctic Mode now available on iOS and Android, here's how you survive the cold

PUBG Mobile Arctic Mode is now available in Evoground. Here's how you can start playing the new mode and survive the extreme cold.

The new Arctic Mode takes place in the Vikendi map, which is the only snow map available inside of the game.

Tencent Games has rolled out a new update for PUBG Mobile, bringing a new gameplay mode, called the Arctic Mode. To play the new Arctic Mode players can head to the EvoGround section.

The new Arctic Mode takes place in the Vikendi map, which is the only snow map available inside of the game. While playing a game in this mode, gamers need to keep in mind that they have to maintain the body temperature of their character at an optimal position.

During gameplay, there will also be arctic storms that will come your way from time to time. During which you will need to find a shelter to keep warm or else you will die off of cold. Apart from this, you will also need to keep an eye out for other players that will be looking to kill you and loot your supplies.

This mode is entirely based on survival, and the players able to survive until the end will be awarded chicken dinners.

To survive the extreme cold, you can simply follow the given steps:

  • Find a lighter and some tree branches to light an indoor fire and stay warm.
  • Go hunting for wild chickens then cook them over the fire and eat. This will also restore the body heat.

  • Find a heater to stay warm when inside.
  • Lastly, you can use health kits and other health increasing items to recover the health that you lost due to the cold.

This update also brings the highly teased snowboard, that can be used to traverse the map. It also brings in drones to scout for other players, in a similar fashion to Call of Duty: Mobile. After the drone pings, you can go and kill the opponent and collect all of his resources that will help you stay warm and alive.
