Razer, the gaming hardware company, has finally launched the much-anticipated smartphone, the Razer Phone. The Razer Phone is the first smartphone to come with a 120Hz display and that is the highlight of the device. The phone is mainly focused on gaming. As the smartphone is made by Nextbit, the phone shares a lot of similarities in design with the Nextbit Robin.
The Razer Phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. The phone features a 5.72-inch IGZO LCD display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels and a pixel density of 513ppi. The display on the device has a refresh rate of 120Hz, has a Wide Color Gamut (WCG) and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. The Razer Phone packs in an 8GB of RAM and a 64GB of onboard storage which is further expandable up to 2TB using a microSD card.
The smartphone is backed by a massive 4,000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0+ for fast charging. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and will soon be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo. For better audio, the Razer Phone comes with stereo front-facing speakers and dual amplifiers. As the 3.5mm audio jack is missing on the phone, there is an adapter with THX-certified DAC which will provide better audio.

As for the optics, the Phone comes with a 12-megapixel dual-camera setup at the back where one is a wide-angle lens with f/1.75 aperture and the other is a zoom lens with an aperture of f/2.6. The cameras on the back come with a dual tone LED flash. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The Razer Phone has launched at a price of USD 700 which roughly converts to Rs. 45,000. The smartphone will be made available starting today in the US, UK and Europe. The company has also announced that they will bring the Phone soon to other markets like North America, Canada, Ireland, Germany, France, Denmark, and Sweden via their own website Razerzone.com. Razer also has plans to offer the smartphone via select Microsoft stores and e-commerce website Amazon.com.
For those who are interested in the Razer Phone, they can pre-book the smartphone and the device will start shipping on November 17. Sadly, there are no official wordings as of when the smartphone will arrive India or other markets.
