11 Real world gadgets that were inspired by television

The world is large and scary but when we were kids we did not know that and were amazed and inspired by the imaginary movie and television world that we saw everyday. Here we have gathered a list of some gadgets that were inspired by television and movies.

Flying Cars

 

Everyone wanted a flying car that could be folded into a briefcase after watching the Jetsons in their childhood. Now we have advanced so much that we are able to have flying cars in the tests which will be available for public consumption in no time. Though the briefcase thing still needs to be worked upon.

Mobile Phones

Though Mobile Phones have been a reality for long long time, but there was a time it was only a concept and shown in cartoons and movies like star trek. Then only landlines that were stationary were there. We don’t know how the millennials would have survived then.

Laptops

Laptops are now a very common thing everyone has them, and most cannot live without one but cartoons like dragon ball, jetsons, etc. only put up a concept of such devices, and now we use them in our daily lives and would not be able to live without one.

Tablets

Tablets were a thing that were used in star trek to analyze data and monitor the ships, etc. but as technology advanced and every tech company got a chance to develop these like iPads, Nexus, etc. everyone in the block has them. Moreover they now are not used for analysis, instead we now use them for entertainment purposes.

Smartwatches

The new frontier now for all the tech companies like Apple, Google, Moto, etc. now after the smartphone, pc, and tablet wars are smartwatches. But, we all saw them first in cartoons like the Flintstones and the simpsons. And we hope that everyone in the near future is rocking them.

Portable Projectors

Cartoons like Spongebob inspired us a lot, and made us buy a lot of merchandise when we were kids, but do you know it also inspired the tech insiders to start working on portable projectors which then were only a story plot point for them but now are a reality. And now anyone can have one for cheaper than a LED TV in their own homes.

Bluetooth And Wi-Fi

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi now everyone is utilizing to transfer files, wirelessly commune with gadgets, talk in your car, etc. but do you know it was just a fantasy dreamt up by the dreamy heads over at the cartoon network shows. And now without Wi-Fi people start complaining, so just chill and think about if you were born in that time when you don’t have a connection.

Self Driving Cars

Self Driving Cars were seen in many Sci-Fi films, TV shows, etc.. But did you ever wonder that you would ever be able to see one on the road. Well now the dream has turned into a reality thanks to companies like Tesla, Google, GM, etc.. We are seeing a role of more and more self driving cars being made. Now thanks to these cars your travel is more smooth, easy and tireless.

GPS

Travel has become the most pleasuring activity these days. People love to travel and visit new destinations and get away from their lives. And it is not easy to know every place that you go to. Here comes to the rescue the GPS it is one of the best inventions a traveller could carry with him.

Drones

Drones have now become easily accessible to everyone, that too at a reasonable price. Before only the governments were able to afford and use them. And before that they were only in the imagination of the film and cartoon makers.

3D Printers

Who would have thought that we would be able to print out anything that we want. Now if you want a model car you can just go to the printer and print out the model. This all could just have been a dream just a few years back now it's reality.
