Realme XT Pro to come with a 90Hz display, confirms Product Manager

After OnePlus, Realme is now planning to launch a 90Hz smartphone. It is expected to be cheaper than the OnePlus 7.

Realme XT Pro to come with a 90Hz display.

High refresh rate smartphone displays have been around for a while now. However, they have been restricted to gaming phones like Asus ROG Phone, Razer Phone and more. With the launch of the OnePlus 7 Pro, the company turned the perspective and made a high refresh rate display a feature for consumer smartphones as well.

With most companies now moving to 90Hz or higher refresh rate displays, Realme did not want to stay behind. Wang Derek, Realme Product Manager, confirmed on Weibo that the company is working on a 90Hz display smartphone. Though he did not reveal any further information about the device, he confirmed that it will be cheaper than the OnePlus 7.

Realme's upcoming smartphone is expected to be called the Realme XT Pro. It is said to come with a 6.4" fullHD+ AMOLED notched display. The smartphone is also rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

In terms of the optics, the Realme XT Pro is expected to come with a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. Rumours suggest that there will be a quad-camera setup at the back, which will include a 64-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, a 2-megapixel macro and 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Since the phone will be a flagship model, it is also said to come with a next-generation in-display fingerprint scanner and a 4,000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. In India, the phone is expected to be priced somewhere below Rs. 30,000. It will compete directly against the Redmi K20.
