Samsung recently started rolling out the much-awaited Android Oreo update to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ were the first smartphones from the company to receive the Oreo update. However, the update was suspended soon after the rollout. Many people, including our team at BeetelBite, have already updated their devices to the latest firmware.
Initially, there were no words by Samsung as of why the update has been suspended. Samsung came forward on Thursday and explained why the update has been stopped. As per the company, some users who updated their devices reported that their Galaxy S8 and S8+ were facing unexpected reboots after updating to Android Oreo. However, we at BeetelBite did not notice any such problems with our device after the update.
Samsung addressed the issue by saying, "Following a limited number of cases where Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices have rebooted unexpectedly with the Android 8.0 Oreo, we have temporarily stopped the rollout of the update,"
"We are investigating the issue internally to ensure that the impact to the affected devices is minimized and the rollout of the update can resume as quickly as possible," they further added.

Android Oreo update has brought problems with it for different OEM's. Xiaomi started rolling out the update for Mi A1 which was halted soon after. Another Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus, also stopped the OnePlus 5T's update soon after the rollout. Xiaomi and OnePlus have already fixed the issues and have rolled out the stable versions of the software. Samsung is also expected to soon fix the issue and start rolling out the update again. People who have already updated their Galaxy S8 or S8+ will receive a fix via a minor update.
