Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ to launch in February, here are all the specifications of the device: Exclusive

Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ a few month ago and the smartphones performed really well in the market. A few months later the company also introduced the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which adds up to the popular Note line-up of the company. As 2017 has got the flagships from Samsung, the company is now gearing up to introduce its new next flagship smartphones for the year 2018. The next flagship smartphones from the company will be called the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC for the US models. The rest of the world will get the Galaxy S9 with an Exynos chipset. As of now, we are not sure of which Exynos chipset will be used as our sources could confirm only about the Snapdragon variant. However, we do know that the Exynos chipset will be based on Samsung's second-generation 10-nanometer process. The smartphone will ship with a minimum of 6GB of RAM paired with either 64GB or 128GB of storage. The S9+ will have an 8GB RAM variant with 128GB or 256GB of onboard storage.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be running on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with the new Samsung Experience 9 UI. The S9 will be backed by a battery of around 3,100mAh while the S9+ will have a larger 3,500mAh battery under the hood.

The display technology will be based on Super AMOLED and will come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. As for the resolution, Samsung is acquiring a 2K resolution display this time.

As for the optics, the Samsung's current flagship devices already have one of the best smartphone cameras in the world. The S9 and S9+ are expected to carry the tradition and be the best camera smartphones of 2018. The upcoming flagship models are going to come with a dual-camera setup at the back as introduced with the Galaxy Note 8. The smartphones will also come with some sort of AR capabilities.
