Samsung Galaxy S9 to be the first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 845

Samsung's flagship smartphone Galaxy S8 and S8+ including the Galaxy Note 8 have gained a lot of success and its time for the next ones. The company has already been working the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and the S9+. Lately, there have been a lot of leaks, rumours and reports on the upcoming flagship smartphone by Samsung. Recent reports suggested that the smartphone will come with Snapdragon 845 chipset as the company bought the entire batch of the processors. There are new reports that suggest that as per the partnership between Samsung and Qualcomm, the first batch of the Snapdragon 845 chipsets will be only for Samsung.

However, the Snapdragon 845 powered Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ might be sold only in the US and Chine. Whereas, the other markets will be greeted by the Galaxy S9 and S9+ with Exynos 9810 under the hood.

Samsung will be privileged to launch the first smartphone with the Snapdragon 845, while the other companies will have to wait until Qualcomm starts making the next batch of the chipsets. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will flaunt a similar infinity display we saw on the Galaxy S8 and S8+. This time around the S9 and S9+ might have a dual-camera setup just like the Note 8.

As far as the chipset is concerned, rumours have been around that the Snapdragon 845 processors will be clocked at the maximum speed of 2.5Ghz. The processors will be manufactured through the TSMC's 7nm process. Other reports suggest that the upcoming Snapdragon will be built through the same 10nm process as the Snapdragon 835.
